Today, I randomly decided to work in Flash, so I chose to work on the SL1 which I was hoping to finish several weeks ago but never got the chance. I had the frame done so what I had to do is colour it, which was a bit tricky surprisingly, seeing how the whole guitar is suppose to be pitch black but I'm somehow suppose to make everything on it very identifiable.
I figured I could use linear paint to get flash make a nice transition between several colours (only two colours 99% of the time on this project) which should give everything a sense of lighting and depth if I use it properly, and also, this isn't PhotoShop so I can't really get too touchy with colouring.
Four hours and several breaks later and I'm done. I'm very pleased how it turned out and I think it's a incredible improvement since my ESP - KH2 vector drawing. I put a lot more care and time with this one, more exact detail, more correct colour tones, and proportions most importantly. I think I can confidently say this is my greatest piece of work to date and possibly the most accurate vector recreation of a musical instrument.
And as always, Right-Click and "Zoom-In" to actually see any of the detail I broke my back doing. Every single screw is three dimensional, all the strings have different widths corresponding to their real life counterparts, the binding around the neck is incorporated and even the solder joints on the wires coming from the pickups are implemented to this single piece of work. Enjoy.
